Né en 1856 à Paris.

XIXe-XXe siècles. Français. Peintre de genre, portraits.

Élève de Henri Gervex et d'Albert Maignan, il débuta au Salon de Paris en 1887, obtenant une mention honorable en 1889, une médaille de troisième classe en 1893, une de deuxième classe en 1894. Il figura également au Salon des Artistes Français, devenant membre de cette société à partir de 1891. Médaille d'argent à l'Exposition Universelle de 1900.

Outre ses compositions pleines de verve, comme La Tentation, on lui doit des paysages d'Egypte, d'Afrique du Sud et d'Inde.
