Né en 1855 à Paris. Mort en 1901.

XIX siècle. Français. Peintre d'histoire, scènes de genre, portraits.

Elève de Fils, il commença à exposer au Salon de Paris à partir de 1886.
Si ses sujets historiques restent conventionnels, ses scènes de genre sont plus libres et traitées dans une manière intimiste. Citons parmi ses œuvres : Surprise - Le marché aux fleurs - La petite Bohémienne 1883 - Parmi les rochers 1885 - Sur la terrasse 1890 - Mademoiselle Satan - Portrait d'homme 1897.
