Thayaht, Ernesto Michahelles
Born on August 21st, 1893 in Florence, Italy.
Died in 1959 in Marina di Pietrasanta, Italy
20th C. Italian. Painter, Sculptor, Engraver, Decorator, Goldsmith. Futurist.
The brother of the painter Ruggero Michaelles Thayaht studied under L. Andreotti.
Ernesto Thayaht was member, along with Rugerro, of the Tuscan group of Futurists with Marinetti in 1929 and Thayaht particpated as a Futurist in the Biennial of Venice, the Quadrennial of Rome and the Triennial of Milan.
As with many of the Futurists and Italian artists of the time, E. Thayaht adapted certain principles of futurism to the celebration of Fascism's Mussolini and Hitler, and as an adherent to the Mussolini Regime, certain aspects of Italian fascism appear in Thayaht's paintings.
Thayaht worked in the style of the Futurists and also produced some work in the Symbolist manner.
