Né le 15 janvier 1866 à Paris.

XIX-XX siècles. Français. Peintre de compositions mythologiques, compositions animées, portraits, illustrateur, sculpteur.

Élève de J. Lefebvre et de Boulanger, il participa au Salon de Paris, obtenant une mention honorable en 1885 et 1898, une troisième médaille en 1891 et, également une mention honorable aux Expositions Universelles de 1889 et 1900. Mention honorable pour la sculpture en 1898. Il collabora à La Vie Parisienne, à L'Illustration et au Figaro illustré. Parmi ses illustrations, on cite des œuvres de Rabelais, Boccace et un Balzac édité à New York. Il place ses thèmes mythologiques dans des paysages savamment équilibrés. Citons encore : Agamemnon 1887 - Circé 1888 -Le silence 1889 - La mort de Sardanapale 1891 - Hélène dévastatrice 1893 - Salomé 1895 - Portrait de M. Mesureur 1896 - Portrait de Mme Mesureur 1897 - Orphée 1898 - Phryné aux fêtes de Vénus.
