Beautiful lithograph after a painting made by Robert Mathew Sully in 1830. According to Richard Randolph's letter dated April 1, 1842 which traced the history of the Pocahontas portrait; Mckenny enlisted Sully (nephew of Thomas Sully) to copy a likeness of Pocahontas that had been produced while she had lived in England. The accuracy of the likeness is hard to measure given that the original painting has never materialized.
